<p>Community School Corporation of Eastern Hancock County</p> <p>Transportation Director</p> <p>Twelve Month-Full time with benefits</p> <p>Responsibilities/Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Ensure the safety of our students is top priority. </li><li>Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including FMCSA regulations, IDOE transportation requirements, drug/alcohol testing program, and the School Safety Plan. </li><li>Coordinate with school Administration to resolve issues pertaining to transportation, discipline and dissemination of information to necessary staff. </li><li>Actively recruit, onboard, and retain bus drivers and monitors; provide new hire and ongoing support and training; prepare annual performance evaluations and make recommendations concerning employment status. </li><li>Ensure staff maintain required licensure, certifications, and FMCSA compliance, including CDL requirements and physicals. </li><li>Collaborate with the Assistant Superintendent on transportation budget and bus replacement schedule; approve and monitor expenditures; assist in bidding process for bus and fuel purchases. </li><li>Supervise transportation personnel and provide on-going support and training; prepare annual performance evaluation for bus drivers and bus monitors; make recommendations concerning employment status. </li><li>Develop and continuously improve transportation processes to enhance efficiency and service quality. </li><li>Develop and maintain bus routes; schedule drivers for daily routines as well as extra-curricular activities and field trips. </li><li>Monitor daily road conditions and collaborate with the Superintendent regarding possible delays or school cancellations. </li><li>Assist in parking lot snow removal. </li><li>Assist in resolving bus conduct issues and employee grievances or complaints in a professional and cordial manner. </li><li>Maintain confidentiality with regards to school business, students, staff, and families. </li><li>Support annual state bus inspections and ensure vehicles meet all required safety and maintenance standards. </li><li>Perform routine maintenance as needed on all corporation vehicles. </li><li>Drive a route daily or as needed as well as provide help finding subs for drivers. </li><li>The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or nonprescribed controlled substance abuse in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the corporation. </li><li>All duties assigned by the Assistant Superintendent or Superintendent. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Must possess valid Indiana Driver's License and be insurable, and must have or be willing to obtain a CDL license. </li><li>Be willing to drive bus routes and transport students to and from school at times. </li><li>Preferred experience with managerial positions. </li><li>Preferred experience with budgetary aspects of the position. </li></ul> <p>Community School Corporation of Eastern Hancock County is an equal opportunity employer.</p> <p>PTO days - 14 (after 90 days)</p> <ul> <li>Balance rolls into sick days July 1 </li></ul> <p>Vacation - 2 weeks upon hire ~ 3 weeks after 3 years ~ 4 weeks after 5 years</p> <p>Paid Holidays - 13 (after 90 days)</p> <p>Labor Day MLK Day Memorial Day</p> <p>Thanksgiving (3) President's Day Independence Day</p> <p>Christmas (2) New Year (2) Good Friday (floating)</p> <p>Insurance Coverage</p> <ul> <li>Health (corp pays a portion) </li><li>Dental </li><li>Vision </li><li>Life - Corp paid $10,000 policy (includes Employee Assistance Program) </li><li>Additional life, dependent life and LTD coverage avail. </li><li>American Fidelity coverage avail. - FLEX, HSA, Accident, cancer, etc. </li></ul> <p>Cell Phone Stipend - $65 monthly for HR, Maintenance, Facilities Manager, Trans.
