As a Research Nurse Coordinator, you will help us achieve this goal by overseeing the implementation and conduct of various studies in the Benign Gynecology field. In this role, you will use your nursing knowledge to perform related tasks, including care plan development, data entry, condition evaluations, telephone triage, documentation and more. While coordinating trial activities, you will also engage in direct care, such as drawing blood, administering EKGs or assisting with hygiene support. This unique position allows you to help us continue pushing the needle forward in life-changing Oncology treatment and beyond.</p> <p>A caregiver in this position works days from 7:00AM - 3:30PM, with local travel to Main, Hillcrest or Fairview Hospital as needed.</p> <p>A caregiver who excels in this role will:</p> <ul> <li>Coordinate the implementation and conduct of research projects ensuring adherence to research protocol requirements including timely completion and </li><li>Complete and communicate regulatory documents, develop data, monitor plans, report Serious Adverse Events as the occur and complete FDA and sponsor forms. </li><li>Serve as a liaison between investigators, research personnel, outside study personnel and central research administration offices to assist in protocol interpretation, enrollment and safety questions. </li><li>Assess research subjects, complete nursing assessments, document findings in research subject records and notify the physician of abnormal findings. </li><li>Establish a care plan in collaboration with the research subject, family and research team and coordinate ongoing care. </li><li>Identify discharge needs and facilitate discharge planning as appropriate. </li><li>Perform telephone triage, nursing procedures and treatments. </li><li>Evaluate, initiate and maintain standards of care consistent with CCHS policies & procedures. </li><li>Assist with specialized patient care equipment as required by the clinical research protocol. </li><li>Administer medications and treatments as ordered by a physician or LIP. </li><li>Direct, coordinate and participate in the evaluation & supervision of nursing care provided to research subjects, establishing patient care priorities and delegating nursing activities according to the patient needs and staff qualifications and capabilities. </li><li>Conduct and document the informed consent process. </li></ul> <p>Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li>Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing </li><li>Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) </li><li>Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) </li><li>Four years of clinical experience </li><li>Two years of research experience </li><li>Understanding of the research process and terminology </li><li>In-depth knowledge of the specialty under investigation </li><li>Working knowledge of federal regulations and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) </li><li>Meet clinical competency requirements </li></ul> <p>Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) </li><li>Familiarity with EPIC </li><li>Oncology experience </li></ul> <p>Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
