<p>SUMMARY DESCRIPTION</p> <p>Transports redi-mix concrete from batch plants to customer job sites and unloads materials.</p> <p>========================================================================</p> <p>PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Positioning truck under batch plant to be loaded </li><li>Standing on catwalks and filling water tank </li><li>Checking slump of load </li><li>Picking up printed delivery ticket </li><li>Delivering load to job site </li><li>Working with customers to obtain vehicle access to job site </li><li>Unloading materials </li><li>Lifting, carrying and attaching chutes weighing up to 50 pounds </li><li>Communicating with dispatcher using two-way radio system </li><li>Making judgments about the accessibility of off road terrain </li><li>Rinsing chutes and truck to remove spilled concrete </li><li>Performing pre-trip vehicle safety inspections </li><li>Maintaining a clean vehicle </li><li>Reporting any maintenance requirements </li><li>Maintaining required record keeping </li><li>Providing exceptional customer service </li><li>Performing routine housekeeping between driving assignments </li></ul> <p>========================================================================</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS (Skills, knowledge, experience)</p> <ul> <li>Ability to read and write </li><li>Commercial driver license with minimum of a "B" endorsement with air brakes </li><li>Ability to understand oral and written instructions </li><li>Good driving record </li><li>Ability to read a map and follow directions </li></ul> <p>========================================================================</p> <p>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS</p> <ul> <li>Climbing in and out of a truck 20/30 times per day </li><li>Climbing a ladder on the back of truck 10/20 times per day </li><li>Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds </li><li>Driving a vehicle </li><li>Walking, sitting, standing for extended periods of time </li></ul> <p>Nearest Major Market: Detroit</p>
