We encourage collaboration, curiosity, and taking initiative.</p> <p>Our Philadelphia team seeks a civil engineering designer with 1-3 years of experience to assist with site-civil engineering and green infrastructure projects. This position offers a terrific opportunity to grow in technical experience, support our team on numerous projects throughout the region, and work alongside other civil engineers and landscape architects. Our project portfolio includes the new Delaware River Trail on the east side of Philadelphia, many public parks throughout the city and region, green stormwater projects throughout Philadelphia and the mid-Atlantic region, the Camden County LINK trail, Essex-Hudson Greenway, and many other exciting public projects within the region.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>The position will focus mainly on the design of public spaces, including parks, trails, and green stormwater infrastructure. The ideal candidate, however, should also have an interest and willingness to work on other private projects for higher education and sustainability focused development projects.</p> <p>The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, assisting our engineering team with the following:</p> <ul> <li>Assisting in site and stormwater planning, conceptual design studies, and writing of technical reports. </li><li>Assisting in the progression of schematic level to final construction documentation design </li><li>Assisting in the development of: design drawings, design calculations, construction cost estimating, writing construction specifications, design reports, and permit application packages </li><li>The ideal candidate would will need to possess the necessary skills involving design drafting using AutoCAD Civil 3D and understanding the fundamentals of hydrology and hydraulics. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>EIT (preferred by not required) </li><li>BS or MS in Civil Engineering </li><li>0-3 years of relevant design experience </li><li>AutoCAD Civil 3D and H&H modeling preferred. </li><li>Strong interest to work within a multidisciplinary team </li><li>Strong written and verbal communication abilities </li></ul> <p>Our Philadelphia office is conveniently located in Center City Philadelphia, blocks away from City Hall and all SEPTA and PATCO rail lines.
