<p>| POSITION</p> <p>Aviation Aerospace Engineering Instructor</p> <p>| VISION</p> <p>Butler Tech is expanding its high school Aviation program and seeking an engaging maintenance instructor to join our team to meet the demands of this rapidly growing field.</p> <p>| GENERAL DESCRIPTION</p> <p>The Aviation Aerospace Engineering Instructor is primarily responsible for the delivery of quality education that adheres to Ohio Department of Education & Workforce curriculum standards. The Instructor employs effective teaching practices to ensure that all students are equipped for success.</p> <p>The ideal candidate for this role will have industry and/or education experience in the field of Aerospace Engineering. The ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to high school students and design curriculum are essential job skills. Based on an applicant's credentials, Butler Tech can guide the selected candidate through the teacher licensure process.</p> <p>| HIRING GOALS</p> <p>We are flexible regarding the starting date for this position and welcome applicants who are available to begin August - December 2025 or at the start of the 2026 - 2027 school year.</p> <p>| QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li> <p>Licensure/certification through the Ohio State Board of Education (SBOE) or ability to obtain proper licensure. Applicants must meet ONE OF THE FOLLOWING requirements to be considered for this position:</p> </li><li> <p>Current licensure in an Aviation, Transportation, or Engineering area; OR</p> </li><li> <p>Work experience and/or educational attainment as outlined below in addition to willingness and ability to complete Ohio's alternative teacher licensure process:</p> </li><li> <p>Bachelor's or master's degree in the content area and 2 years of relevant work experience; OR</p> </li><li> <p>Bachelor's or master's degree outside the content area and 5 years of relevant work experience; OR</p> </li><li> <p>Associate's Degree or 60 semester hours in subject area and 3 years of related work experience</p> </li><li> <p>Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certification(s) in any area of aviation is a plus;</p> </li><li> <p>Previous teaching experience in academic environment and/or on-line teaching preferred;</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to interact successfully with academic as well as business and regulatory stakeholders;</p> </li><li> <p>Willingness/ability to work with students, teachers and administrators as a team member;</p> </li><li> <p>Effective and demonstrated problem solving, critical thinking, analytical, oral and written communication, and organizational skills;</p> </li><li> <p>State-issued identification card with photograph;</p> </li><li> <p>History of strong work record, including good job attendance, and acceptable criminal record</p> </li></ul> <p>| STARTING DATE August - December 2025 or August 2026</p> <p>| LOCATION Temporarily housed at Fairfield Township Campus for 2025 - 2026; Will relocate to newly constructed classroom in Middletown in early 2026</p> <p>| SALARY Based upon experience and education ($51,281 - 106,972)</p> <p>| BENEFITS Includes medical, dental, vision, and life insurance; tuition reimbursement</p> <p>| WORK YEAR 185 days - 7.5 hours/day</p> <p>| DEADLINE Until Filled</p> <p>| APPLY TO Butler Tech Careers</p>
