<p>Job Type: Regular</p> <p>Time Type: Full time</p> <p>Work Shift: Day (United States of America)</p> <p>FLSA Status: Non-Exempt</p> <p>When you join the growing BILH team, you're not just taking a job, you're making a difference in people's lives.</p> <p>DIETARY AIDE</p> <p>6:30 AM- 3:00 PM</p> <p>Rotating weekend availability required</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>Job Summary:</p> <p>Passes menus to appropriate patients according to name and room number, and presents a positive image to customer.</p> <p>Portions food for tray line.</p> <p>Stocks and restocks tray line stations with food supplies.</p> <p>Serves tray line station at mealtime.</p> <p>Assists in loading trays onto meal trucks.</p> <p>Prepares and delivers patient between-meal nourishments for Mount Auburn Hospital and necessary tube feedings.</p> <p>Inventories par stock for specific designated nursing units.</p> <p>Delivers late trays to patients.</p> <p>Retrieves trays from patient care area.</p> <p>Cleans and sanitizes assigned work area.</p> <p>Scrapes dishes and loads dishes and trays into dishwasher.</p> <p>Resets tray line for next meal.</p> <p>Works continuously to improve the total quality of the department and other departments within the institution.</p> <p>Works under direction of lead diet aide and food services supervisor.</p> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <p>Ability to read English and comprehend and follow verbal and some written instructions.</p> <p>Ability to read and write at level three as documented on "Invest," the hospital's Employee Learning Laboratory software.</p> <p>Communication skills relevant to delivering patient trays and for all contacts in the hospital.</p> <p>As a health care organization, we have a responsibility to do everything in our power to care for and protect our patients, our colleagues and our communities.
