In this role, you'll oversee daily refuse collection and disposal operations, ensuring high-quality service for both residential and commercial customers. This is a dynamic position where responsibilities may shift across service areas based on operational needs</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <ul> <li>Supervise and support field crews responsible for residential and commercial solid waste and recycling services </li><li>Assign daily work schedules and monitor field performance of drivers, crews, and front-line employees </li><li>Ensure services are delivered safely, efficiently, and on schedule </li><li>Assist in resolving service inquiries and customer complaints in a timely and professional manner </li><li>Support the maintenance of customer account information for residential and commercial billing </li><li>Assist in developing and implementing employee performance standards, productivity systems, and customer service expectations </li><li>Plan and supervise service delivery for special events </li><li>Review plans from developers and businesses to ensure proper placement of solid waste and recycling containers </li><li>Monitor vehicle performance and recommend improvements, replacements, or additions to the fleet </li><li>Adapt to changing priorities and provide leadership across multiple service areas </li></ul> <p>What We're Looking For</p> <ul> <li>Proven leadership or supervisory experience (preferably in operations, logistics, or public works) </li><li>Strong organizational and problem-solving skills </li><li>Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment </li><li>Commitment to safety and operational excellence </li><li>Effective communication and team leadership abilities </li></ul> <p>For the complete job specification, listing essential duties and desirable qualifications, go to Supervisor-Solid Waste Collection.</p> <p>Minimum Training & Experience</p> <p>Possession of a bachelor's degree and one year of supervisory experience;</p> <p>or</p> <p>Possession of a high school diploma or an equivalent recognized certificate and seven years of experience that includes solid waste collection activities, courier services, transportation, schedule making, dispatching, or a related administrative area. (Two years of the required experience must have been in a supervisory capacity in a customer-based industry such as solid waste, recycling, or disposal operations in a public or private environment.)</p> <p>Salary Range</p> <p>$25.1538 to $68.2567/hourly.
