<p>Job Title: Youth Kickboxing Instructor, Jim & Heather Gills Branch YMCA</p> <p>Description: We are searching for a highly skilled and enthusiastic Youth Kickboxing Instructor to join our organization. The instructor's responsibilities include planning and scheduling classes, providing hands-on instruction, and ensuring students learn and train in a safe, supportive environment. Lessons may be conducted in both one-on-one and group formats. To succeed in this role, the instructor should keep sessions fun and engaging while fostering self-discipline, respect, and personal growth. Ultimately, an outstanding Youth Kickboxing Instructor will help students build confidence in their abilities and character.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Schedule and conduct individual and group kickboxing lessons </li><li>Teach age-appropriate techniques and forms </li><li>Share historical and theoretical background of martial arts </li><li>Foster discipline, focus, and respect among students </li><li>Supervise sessions to ensure a safe and inclusive environment </li><li>Promote the appropriate use of learned techniques both inside and outside class </li><li>Conduct demonstrations or safety talks for parents, companies, and the public </li><li>Monitor and report on student progress </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Black belt (or equivalent) in your chosen martial art style </li><li>Experience teaching martial arts to students of various ages and fitness levels </li><li>Preferred: Ability to train students for local, national, or international competitions </li><li>Physically agile and able to demonstrate techniques clearly </li><li>Strong leadership and verbal communication skills </li><li>Ability to maintain a respectful, supportive, and structured class environment </li><li>Excellent organizational and event-planning skills </li><li>Passion for martial arts and youth development </li><li></li></ul> <p>Pay & Perks: $20.00-$22.00/hour, depending on experience. 1 day per week.
