New hires are eligible to apply 30 days after their effective date of hire.</p> <p>JOB TITLE:</p> <p>Project Analyst Level II</p> <p>AGENCY:</p> <p>Construction & Development</p> <p>DEPT/DIV:</p> <p>Development/Program Oversight</p> <p>REPORTS TO:</p> <p>Senior Vice President Program Oversight</p> <p>WORK LOCATION:</p> <p>2 Broadway</p> <p>HOURS OF WORK:</p> <p>8:30 AM to 5:00 PM or as required (7.5HR/ DAY)</p> <p>HAY POINTS:</p> <p>393</p> <p>SALARY RANGE:</p> <p>$72,262 to $98,381</p> <p>DEADLINE:</p> <p>Open Until Filled</p> <p>Summary</p> <p>The Project Analyst Level II is the Intermediary Level position that provides analytical and administrative support within the MTA Construction & Development. Analysts review and approve project budgets and transactions during the life cycle, and including contingencies and budget moves to support the capital program and mitigate the potential impact on other projects and the capital program as a whole as well as provide necessary administrative support to the Senior Vice President for Program Oversight, the Assistant Vice Presidents for Program Coordination (Program Oversight,) the Assistant Vice President for Program Coordination (Expansion Projects) and the Senior Director for Bridges and Tunnels Project Development.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Responsibilities will vary by assignment.</p> <p>Typical duties may include, but not be limited to, the following:</p> <p>Assist in developing, preparing, and updating analytical reports, spreadsheets, and databases.</p> <p>Support data-gathering, reviewing, and updating information and documentation in project management systems and various systems supporting departmental operations.</p> <p>Assist in detailed budget monitoring and administration tasks for review, modification, and approval of capital project transactions as well as Program Oversight/Development departmental operations.</p> <p>Provide analytical support for developing research, studies, analyses, and presentations related to capital projects, program oversight, transactions, or departmental analytical activities.</p> <p>May handle confidential and sensitive information related to capital projects, departmental personnel, and operations.</p> <p>Ensure effective communication and function as a liaison with employees at all levels within the department and with other C&D units, as needed.</p> <p>As needed, provide analytical support for various departmental and project management processes and reports.</p> <p>Provide necessary administrative support to the Senior Vice President for Program Oversight, the Assistant Vice Presidents for Program Coordination (Program Oversight), the Assistant Vice President for Program Coordination (Expansion Projects), and the Senior Director for Bridges and Tunnels Project Development.</p> <p>Education and Experience</p> <p>Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Urban Planning, Public Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Engineering, Architecture, Mathematics, or a related field.</p> <p>Must have a minimum of one (1) year of related experience.</p> <p>Competences:</p> <p>Strong analytical skills.</p> <p>Self-motivated and detail-oriented.</p> <p>Strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills.</p> <p>Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with all levels of management and team members.</p> <p>Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with sound judgment and discretion.</p> <p>Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel, Access, and PowerPoint).</p> <p>Other Information</p> <p>Pursuant to the New York State Public Officers Law & the MTA Code of Ethics, all employees who hold a policymaking position must file an Annual Statement of Financial Disclosure (FDS) with the NYS Commission on Ethics and Lobbying in Government (the "Commission").</p> <p>Selection Criteria</p> <p>Based on the evaluation of education, skills, experience, and interview.</p> <p>How to Apply</p> <p>MTA employees must apply via the My MTA Portal.
