This position is essential to ensuring safe and efficient field operations and works under the supervision of a Foreman as part of a collaborative crew.</p> <p>Key Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Perform manual tasks related to the construction and maintenance of overhead power lines, including:</p> </li><li> <p>Digging trenches</p> </li><li> <p>Setting poles</p> </li><li> <p>Installing wires and transformers</p> </li><li> <p>Routine line and equipment maintenance</p> </li><li> <p>Assisting linemen with tasks</p> </li><li> <p>Assemble and stage materials on the ground; hoist tools and supplies using handlines</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with filling pole holes and trenches using hand tools such as shovels</p> </li><li> <p>Flag traffic and support job site setup and safety compliance</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain organization of tools and materials on service vehicles</p> </li><li> <p>Clean and organize job sites upon work completion to ensure safety and readiness for inspection</p> </li></ul> <p>Job Requirements</p> <ul> <li> <p>Valid CDL Class A license preferred (must obtain within 90 days of hire if not already held)</p> </li><li> <p>Must pass drug screening, alcohol test, background check, clearinghouse and MVR check</p> </li><li> <p>Willingness to travel long distances on short notice</p> </li><li> <p>Available to work in remote locations and for extended periods</p> </li><li> <p>Able to perform duties in all types of weather, including extreme heat, cold, and inclement conditions</p> </li><li> <p>Willing and able to work overtime, including nights and weekends, as required</p> </li></ul> <p>Skills and Competencies</p> <ul> <li> <p>Basic understanding of utility operations and power distribution systems</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent attention to detail, safety awareness, and accuracy</p> </li><li> <p>Strong problem-solving and analytical skills</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision</p> </li><li> <p>Strong time management, organization, and multitasking skills</p> </li><li> <p>High level of professionalism, integrity, and accountability</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to take direction, follow safety protocols, and make decisions in the field</p> </li><li> <p>Willingness to be a team player and contribute to a positive work environment</p> </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions and Physical Requirements</p> <ul> <li> <p>Work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, rain, and wind</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds</p> </li><li> <p>Frequent bending, climbing, stooping, standing, and lifting required for extended periods</p> </li><li> <p>Use of hand and power tools involving substantial hand, wrist, and finger movement</p> </li><li> <p>Required to have close visual acuity for reading instruments, measuring distances, and performing detailed tasks</p> </li></ul> <p>Key Attributes</p> <ul> <li> <p>Self Motivated - Takes initiative and responsibility for for safety quality.</p> </li><li> <p>Team-Oriented - Works cooperatively with others in a crew setting.</p> </li><li> <p>Customer-Focused - Acts with professionalism and respect.</p> </li><li> <p>Safety-Minded - Adheres to safety protocols and uses PPE properly.</p> </li></ul> <p>Join Our Team</p> <p>Electra Grid Solutions is committed to safety, excellence, and empowering energy infrastructure.
