<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Tolland Public Schools is seeking a dynamic and student-centered Supervisor of Pupil Services to join our dedicated Administrative Team. This leadership position reports directly to the Director of Pupil Services and plays an integral role in advancing inclusive practices and ensuring high-quality services for all students. The successful candidate will be a collaborative leader who is passionate about supporting students with diverse learning needs and partnering with staff and families to promote student achievement and well-being.</p> <p>Responsibilities Include:</p> <ul> <li>Managing the LEAP program, an in district framework to support students with behavior and social emotional needs </li><li>Managing the implementation of special education services districtwide during the school year and for the extended school year program </li><li>Ensuring compliance with state and federal special education regulations </li><li>Hiring, supervising and evaluating staff </li><li>Leading PPT meetings and supporting case management processes </li><li>Collaborating with building administrators, general education staff, and related service providers </li><li>Supporting professional development and instructional best practices </li><li>Monitoring student progress and program effectiveness </li><li>Maintaining strong family communication and partnerships </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>6th Year or higher with major in education or special education </li><li>State certification in special education or pupil services </li><li>At least five (5) years of successful teaching or related field experience </li><li>Ability to communicate effectively with teachers, administrators, students and parents </li><li>Demonstrated teaching effectiveness and curriculum knowledge </li><li>Knowledge of tests and measurements and the analysis/interpretation of data </li><li>Ability to write and evaluate curriculum </li><li>Ability to execute PPT's meetings </li><li>Demonstrated knowledge of current standards and research </li><li>Knowledge of current technology and computer resources </li><li>092 certification </li></ul> <p>Salary Range: Salary range is $127,244.00 to $136,244.00.00 depending upon experience. This position falls under the Tolland Administrative Society bargaining union agreement which can be found on our website under district offices/Human Resources/Bargaining Union Agreements or using the link below.
