<p>Support the design, development, and validation of product development projects. Perform hands-on testing, data acquisition, and analysis to generate accurate documentation supporting engineering decisions and regulatory (agency) approvals.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Build, modify, and rework PCB assemblies (PCBAs), wiring harnesses, and related hardware, including both surface mount (SMT) and through-hole technologies. </li><li>Assist engineers in the design, development, and validation of new and existing products. Design and fabricate test fixtures as required. </li><li>Execute test plans and produce well-documented reports, including charts and data analysis, in accordance with Engineering Standards. </li><li>Evaluate electrical components and recommend alternatives based on performance, reliability, and test results. </li><li>Support regulatory compliance efforts by preparing and executing tests for agency approvals in coordination with the Standards Engineer. </li><li>Operate and maintain lab instrumentation, including oscilloscopes, frequency analyzers, thermocouples, infrared cameras, and data acquisition systems. </li><li>Collect, analyze, and interpret test data using appropriate software tools to generate engineering reports. </li><li>Maintain laboratory organization, safety, and equipment calibration; coordinate activities of test interns when applicable. </li><li>Design, set up, and monitor long-term reliability and environmental tests in collaboration with the Reliability Engineer. </li><li>Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electronic assemblies at the component level. </li><li>Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams; perform accurate electrical measurements. </li><li>Perform additional duties as assigned by Engineering leadership. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. </li><li>Effective written and verbal communication skills, including technical report writing. </li><li>Proficiency with standard lab tools, hand tools, and light fabrication equipment. </li><li>Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word. </li><li>Ability to travel up to 15% for field testing and troubleshooting. </li></ul> <p>EDUCATIONAL OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>Associate degree (2-year) in Electrical Engineering Technology or related field required. </li><li>Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in product testing or electronics lab environment. </li><li>Experience with electronic test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes) and soldering (SMT and through-hole) strongly preferred. </li></ul>
