<p>Astro Digital designs, builds, and operates a diverse range of small satellite systems supporting space-based turnkey missions for several business applications, including earth observation, communications, in-orbit demonstrations, risk reduction, science, and exploration. Astro Digital is headquartered in Littleton, Colorado with roughly 100 employees.</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>The General Accountant will support the day-to-day accounting operations of the company while helping to build and improve financial processes as the organization scales. This is a hands-on role responsible for core accounting tasks, ad-hoc analysis, and process development in a fast-paced environment.</p> <p>The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, proactive accountant with 3-5 years of experience who thrives in a fast-growing company. He or she must be comfortable performing general accounting duties while contributing to the development of scalable processes and systems.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Perform core general accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, and month-end close functions. </li><li>Handle ad-hoc financial requests and analysis from leadership and other departments </li><li>Support project accounting and/or cost accounting activities as needed </li><li>Assist in building and improving accounting processes, controls, and procedures as the company grows </li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and special projects </li><li>Help prepare for audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field </li><li>3-5 years of progressive accounting experience </li><li>Solid understanding of general accounting principles, financial reporting, and month-end close processes </li><li>Strong proficiency in Microsoft excel </li><li>Experience performing a broad range of general accounting tasks in a hands-on environment </li><li>Demonstrated ability to manage ad-hoc requests and contribute to process improvement initiatives </li><li>Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic setting </li><li>Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills </li><li>Self-motivated with a desire to learn and grow as the company scales </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience with Odoo ERP system (strongly desired) </li><li>Familiarity with project or cost accounting </li><li>Experience with multi-entity or multi-location financial reporting </li><li>Background supporting process development and system implementation in a scaling company </li></ul> <p>Job Type: Full Time</p> <p>Salary Range: $70k-$105k annually depending on experience</p> <p>Benefits: include health, dental, and vision insurance options, 401k matching, paid holidays, sick days, and PTO.</p>
