<p>What to Expect</p> <p>Tesla is currently looking for a Journeyman level welder & pipefitter. This position will support the internal Self Perform Construction Team.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <ul> <li>Assist with planning, material acquisition, coordination, and communication to ensure work completion while meeting project deadlines and cost goals without impacting ongoing production </li><li>Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, weld symbols, bills of materials, and other instructions to accurately create equipment </li><li>Design and build basic and/or complex structures, supports, or frameworks as needed in daily tasks </li><li>Weld using GMAW, MIG processes, and perform oxy/acetylene torch and plasma arc cutting </li><li>Perform all work in accordance with quality standards, established safety procedures, and support the installation, start-up, and commissioning of mechanical piping and equipment systems </li><li>Enthusiastically cross-train and support peers with project work outside of core skill sets, while identifying and communicating quality, safety, and productivity improvement opportunities </li><li>Accurately log work hours, material consumption, and engage in training on new tools, systems, equipment, and procedures </li></ul> <p>What You'll Bring</p> <ul> <li>1-3 years of MIG welding experience and operating in a similar capacity within a manufacturing or related facility </li><li>Demonstrated proficiency in construction pipefitting, with experience in piping systems, fitting installation, and knowledge of applicable codes </li><li>Completion of a skilled trade's certificate program or relevant military experience preferred; an Associate's Degree in Engineering or Technology is a plus </li><li>Experience with Stainless Steel, Copper, PVC/CPVC, and Carbon Steel piping systems, with the ability to read drawings, shop, isometric, PID, and schematic diagrams </li><li>Willingness to travel to other Tesla Facilities for support and to work outside of core trade when required to support changing business needs </li><li>Evidence of exceptional ability in a large-scale industrial or manufacturing construction environment </li><li>Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. repetitively, work at elevations up to 50 ft. and command proficiency in both written and verbal English </li></ul> <p>Compensation and Benefits</p> <p>Benefits</p> <p>Along with competitive pay, as a full-time Tesla employee, you are eligible for the following benefits at day 1 of hire:</p> <ul> <li>Medical plans > plan options with $0 payroll deduction </li><li>Family-building, fertility, adoption and surrogacy benefits </li><li>Dental (including orthodontic coverage) and vision plans, both have options with a $0 paycheck contribution </li><li>Company Paid (Health Savings Accounts) HSA Contribution when enrolled in the High-Deductible medical plan with HSA </li><li>Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) </li><li>401(k) with employer match, Employee Stock Purchase Plans, and other financial benefits </li><li>Company paid Basic Life, AD&D </li><li>Short-term and long-term disability insurance (90 day waiting period) </li><li>Employee Assistance Program </li><li>Sick and Vacation time (Flex time for salary positions, Accrued hours for Hourly positions), and Paid Holidays </li><li>Back-up childcare and parenting support resources </li><li>Voluntary benefits to include: critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident insurance, theft & legal services, and pet insurance </li><li>Weight Loss and Tobacco Cessation Programs </li><li>Tesla Babies program </li><li>Commuter benefits </li><li>Employee discounts and perks program </li></ul> <p>Tesla is an Equal Opportunity employer.
