<p>UTILITY WORKER - PARKS MAINT.</p> <p>PARKS & RECREATION</p> <p>PARKS MAINTENANCE</p> <p>UTILITY WORKER</p> <p>This is a full time position with excellent benefits such as Health Insurance, Life Insurance and a Retirement Plan</p> <p>Under immediate supervision, performs entry level, manual, semi-skilled work to assist in performing park maintenance and upkeep, including sports fields. Will work Monday through Friday, including some evenings, weekends and holidays. Overtime may be required.</p> <p>Essential job duties include but are not limited to: Performing a wide range of duties associated with cleaning parks, cutting and clearing weeds and brush. Using various hand tools to dig, sweep and spread. Will drive various light equipment such as pickup trucks and farm tractors. Cleans and maintains tools, equipment, materials and work areas. Loads and unloads supplies tools and equipment. Will perform physical work outdoors in various weather conditions. Must have experience operating small tractors, lawnmowers, light trucks and other maintenance equipment. Must have the ability to read and understand operation manuals, knowledge of standard safety practices, ability to follow instructions and to communicate with co-workers.</p> <p>Minimum requirements: Must be able to drive standard shift vehicles. Must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent and have valid TN driver's license, which must remain valid as a condition of continued employment. Minimum three (3) to six (6) months experience performing manual labor. Must pass a background check, driver's license check and physical exam, including a drug screen. Bartlett resident preferred, but not required.
