Our site, Albéa Shelbyville is specialized in Laminate Tubes for Oral, Cosmetic & Pharmaceutical Markets.</p> <p>Scope</p> <p>The purpose of this position is to assist the Production and Quality Control function by performing daily Laminate in-process testing. To conduct audits on finished product or components as required. To utilize calibrated instruments for data collection and to ensure that the working area is kept tidy in 5S condition. Interface with the mechanics is critical while building and packaging finish product for shipment</p> <p>Main activities</p> <ul> <li>Visually inspect tubes for defects (routine quality checks) and before packaging perform routine quality checks </li><li>Notify production mechanic and supervisor of defects found </li><li>Transfer tubes from production line to boxes/pallets </li><li>Create and make packaging labels as required </li><li>Perform all Laminate and SPG in-process testing using QC test methods </li><li>Report quality and packing issues to supervision </li><li>Understand where safety mechanisms (E-stop, Guards, etc..) are located on auto packer. </li><li>Make boxes as required. </li><li>In feed cartons into auto packer </li><li>Clear jams and start/stop auto packer as required </li><li>Supply components to the line </li><li>Keep area and equipment neat and organized as per a 5S environment </li><li>Adhere to all company policies and procedures </li><li>Other duties as required </li></ul> <p>Accountability including KPIs</p> <ul> <li>Ensure to handle product in a safely manner and ensure that product is produced in accordance to product specification to prevent excessive scrap. </li><li>Ensure to assist with conducting changeovers in a timely manner. </li><li>Ensure to maintain equipment running in a efficient and safe manner in order to meet scheduled production output. </li></ul> <p>Profile (Experience & qualifications)</p> <p>This position requires a detailed oriented individual with good communication skills and some previous computer experience. Preference will be given to individuals who have completed some technician training and also worked in a production environment were lifting, packaging and palletizing experience would be helpful. High school diploma or GED required</p>
