<p>The College Success Coach will support the mission of the department by delivering holistic, high-impact services to undergraduate students who are first-generation college students and/or meet income requirements. Eligibility and Employer Sponsored Plans can be found within each of the links offered.</p> <p>Department Information</p> <p>Job City & State Raleigh, NC Department</p> <p>System Information</p> <p>Classification Title Temporary-Clerical Working Title UTS - Temporary College Success Coach at NC State</p> <p>Position Information</p> <p>Requirements and Preferences</p> <p>Work Schedule Monday-Friday / 8:30 - 5:00 p.m. some nights and weekends (25 hours) Other Work/Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Provide individualized career coaching and counseling services, assessing student needs and helping them make informed career decisions </li><li>Serve as lead instructor for the internship course </li><li>Deliver engaging one-on-one coaching sessions and group workshops on a range of career topics </li><li>Administer and interpret assessments measuring interests, skills, values, and abilities </li><li>Review and provide actionable feedback on resumes, cover letters, and professional online profiles </li><li>Conduct mock interviews and provide tailored interview preparation and feedback </li><li>Collaborate with academic advisors to integrate career development into student orientation and coursework </li><li>Support the planning and execution of college-wide career events, such as career fairs, employer panels, and networking events </li><li>Stay current on industry trends, job market data, and employer expectations to guide student decision-making </li><li>Partner with the director to develop strategic initiatives and contribute to goal-setting and reporting </li><li>Assist with data collection and preparation of the department's annual report </li><li>Represent the office at college and university-wide events </li></ul> <p>Minimum Experience/Education</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree in counseling, student personnel services, or a related field; or a bachelor's degree with equivalent professional training and experience </li></ul> <p>Department Required Skills</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree in counseling, student personnel services, or a related field; or a bachelor's degree with equivalent professional training and experience </li><li>Demonstrated skill in using individual and group counseling techniques to support students holistically </li><li>Knowledge of academic coaching techniques, student development theory, or college success strategies. </li><li>Ability to display creativity, initiative, and a positive attitude in daily responsibilities </li></ul> <p>Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education</p> <ul> <li>Experience working with college access/success programs. </li><li>Experience using data systems, student tracking software, or program assessment tools. </li><li>Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills </li></ul> <p>Required License or Certification</p> <p>N/A</p> <p>Valid NC Driver's License required?
