If you are seeking an iterative fast-paced environment where you can drive innovation, apply state-of-the-art technologies to solve extreme-scale real world challenges, and provide visible benefit to end-users, this is your opportunity.</p> <p>Come work on the Amazon Robotics - Mechatronics & Sustainable Packaging (MSP) Team!</p> <p>We are looking for an outstanding Field Retrofit Program Manager, who will develop and implement comprehensive retrofit and technology upgrade programs for existing field-deployed products. This role will lead the end-to-end process development and execution of upgrade initiatives to enhance product performance and customer satisfaction.</p> <p>The primary role of the MSP team is to drive future innovation across all aspects of Mechatronics and Packaging, across industrial hardware/control machines such as robotic cells, autonomous vehicles, sortation, packing technologies and packaging materials. We drive strategic partnerships with key stakeholders such as Operations, RME, ACES, Supply Chain, Transportation, WW Design, etc. to ensure we deliver robust products that effectively integrate into the Amazon Fulfillment network.</p> <p>A successful candidate will have strong analytical skills combined with business understanding, broad experience and exposure across multiple stake-holders and deep skills in complex systems integration and validation, which include a high degree of ambiguity. They will work successfully across multiple large engineering, testing and operations teams at a strategic level and drive quality across all our Products. This candidate requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, collaboration, analytical and abstract thinking, time management and organizational skills.</p> <p>Key job responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Design and establish standardized processes for identifying, evaluating, and implementing field retrofit opportunities </li><li>Create detailed implementation plans including resource requirements, timelines, and budget forecasts </li><li>Develop technical documentation and work instructions for field service teams </li><li>Coordinate with Engineering, Service, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to ensure program feasibility </li><li>Manage retrofit kit development, including BOM creation and inventory planning </li><li>Establish KPIs and tracking mechanisms to monitor program effectiveness </li><li>Lead risk assessment and mitigation planning for retrofit programs </li><li>Create and maintain communication protocols with customers regarding upgrade programs </li><li>Develop training materials for service technicians executing retrofits </li></ul> <p>BASIC QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other STEM field </li><li>Project Engineer, Process Engineer, Project Manager, Manufacturing Engineer, or related occupation experience </li><li>Experience with Six Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing </li><li>7+ years in product support, field service, or program management </li><li>Demonstrated success in process development and implementation </li><li>Strong project management skills with experience in cross-functional leadership </li></ul> <p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree in Engineering, Operations, Business Administration, or a related STEM field </li><li>Six Sigma Black Belt </li><li>PMP certification </li><li>10+ years experience with retrofit or product upgrade programs </li><li>Knowledge of supply chain and inventory management </li><li>Familiarity with technical documentation systems </li><li>Experience with field service operations </li></ul> <p>Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.</p> <p>Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
