<p>Job Title: SMB Outside Sales Representative</p> <p>Location: Minneapolis-Saint Paul, MN</p> <p>Reports to: Director of SMB Operations</p> <p>Department: Account Management</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>Primarily responsible for making sales on behalf of Rubicon and driving revenue results in a defined market area using consultative sales approach that doesn't focus solely on price. Direct, in-person interactions with customers at customer locations are expected and, depending on the market area, extensive out-of-office and/or out-of-town travel may be required for this job.</p> <p>Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Engage in direct sales with existing and potential Rubicon customers </li><li>Prepare, lead, and finalize negotiations and contracts with customers </li><li>Conduct in-person meeting with customers at customer and/or other off-site locations-including, but not limited to, educating customers on service differentiation, pricing, training and value-added during the sales process </li><li>Deliver proposals and assist with negotiation of terms on agreements </li><li>Anticipate how decisions are made and persistently explore customers' business needs </li><li>Build and maintain a full sales pipeline from prospecting to close in a defined territory </li><li>Work alongside strategic partners in a given market, ensuring alignment on business practices </li><li>Follow up after sales to achieve referrals, grow existing business, and ensure customer satisfaction </li><li>Maintain a high level of integrity, commitment, and trust to exceed expectations in sales and retention of customer accounts </li><li>Work closely with internal teams to ensure a successful launch of services </li><li>Enter all activities and opportunities in CRM tool </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned or apparent. </li></ul> <p>Supervisory Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>This job has no supervisory responsibilities. </li></ul> <p>Experience & Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required. </li><li>1-3 years of B2B outside sales experience, preferably in a service-based industry with long-term agreements. </li><li>Strong knowledge of managing a short sales cycle. </li><li>Experience in selling a service, rather than a product. </li><li>Knowledge of waste industry is a plus. </li><li>Proficiency with Salesforce, other CRM models. </li><li>Excellent presentation, communication, and facilitation skills. </li><li>Ability to analyze data and create reports on training effectiveness. </li><li>Strong organizational and project management skills. </li><li>Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. </li><li>Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. </li><li>Strong customer service orientation with the ability to handle inquiries and requests efficiently and professionally. </li><li>Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all aspects of program management. </li><li>A proactive, can-do attitude with a willingness to take ownership of tasks and drive them to completion. </li><li>Ability to work independently while also being a team player who thrives in a collaborative environment. </li><li>Discretion and trustworthiness in handling sensitive information and supporting high-level strategic initiatives. </li></ul> <p>About Rubicon</p> <p>Rubicon is a leading provider of technology-based waste and recycling solutions for waste generators, helping them to understand, manage, and reduce waste.</p> <p>We provide multi-location businesses with an all-in-one waste and recycling solution, offering deep insights into your waste streams to enable informed decision-making and actions across all your locations.
