We are The Surprisingly Big Company, and we're right in your backyard.</p> <p>Build your career with West Liberty Foods and be a part of an exciting, collaborative team that becomes family!</p> <p>Opportunity Overview</p> <p>Position Detail</p> <p>Information</p> <p>Job Title</p> <p>Quality Assurance Technician</p> <p>Location</p> <p>Bolingbrook, IL</p> <p>Shift</p> <p>1st</p> <p>Hourly Wage Range</p> <p>$20.96 to $25.77 per hour depending on experience</p> <p>Shift Premium</p> <p>None</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for inspecting and monitoring processes and products to ensure that the quality of product is of the highest standard.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Complete regular quality checks. </li><li>Inspect and monitor processes and products. </li><li>Conduct pre-op on the lines for cleanliness of equipment and surrounding area and complete pre-op documentation. </li><li>Conduct metal detector checks before start up. </li><li>Audit process by using specifications. </li><li>Monitor meat quality and complete AQL paperwork. </li><li>Monitor code dates to assure proper dates are being used. </li><li>Monitor packaging and labeling for quality issues. </li><li>Monitor team members for Good Manufacturing Procedures. </li><li>Monitor temperatures of products. </li><li>Conduct housekeeping checks. </li><li>Monitor weight control checks. </li><li>Retain product when needed, tag product, complete QA Hold Forms and document. </li><li>Assist production with quality issues. </li><li>Collect finished products for the shelf life program. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Job Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a related role/field is preferred. Food manufacturing experience is preferred. </li><li>Age: Must be a minimum of 18 years of age. </li><li>Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States; no sponsorships are available. </li><li>Certification: HACCP certification is preferred. </li><li>Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. </li><li>Physical: Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds. </li><li>Skills: Basic computer skills including Google Suite products. Ability to problem solve. Must be dependable and be able to work well with others. Requires good customer service skills. Must be able to work with limited supervision. </li><li>Flexibility: Must be able to work overtime and/or weekends as needed. Ability to adjust quickly to changing demands. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment of continuous change and challenges. </li><li>Compliance: Must practice good personal hygiene.
