Job descriptions and responsibilities of the care team emphasize a team-based approach to patient care and promote training of team members to meet the highest level of function allowed by state law.</p> <p>Procedure:The job description and responsibilities are defined for the Radiology department at Murfreesboro Medical Clinic below:</p> <p>Job Title</p> <p>Radiological Technologist</p> <p>Purpose of Job</p> <p>Responsible for taking radiological exams and related duties</p> <p>Working Conditions</p> <p>Reports to Radiology Manager and Physicians. The job holder must demonstrate current competencies for the job position.</p> <p>Job Responsibilities</p> <p>Minimum of one year customer service experience in a health care setting. Mammography experience preferred. Graduate from an accredited X-ray Technologists Program.</p> <p>REQUIREMENTS:</p> <p>American Registry of Radiology Technologist (ARRT) registration required.TN State license required</p> <p>Current CPR certification.</p> <p>Prepares patients for radiology procedures. Takes radiographs following established procedures for patient care and safety. Maintains high quality/quantity standards.</p> <p>Uses a variety of radiation protection and shielding materials. Complies with all policies regarding safety, infection control and universal precautions.</p> <p>Prepares contrast media.</p> <p>Ensures equipment is in working order. Reports malfunction to supervisor.</p> <p>Logs radiology procedures completed. Processes related paperwork using computer equipment as directed.</p> <p>Maintains procedure room. Stocks necessary medical and radiology supplies.
