<p>About Us</p> <p>Pillar Innovations is an Industrial Solutions and Service Company with 15 years of experience in the Energy, Mining, Manufacturing, Industrial Construction, Aggregate, and Renewables Industries. The Corporate Headquarters are located in Grantsville, MD with several offices throughout the country.</p> <p>Position Overview</p> <p>As an Accounting Assistant, the general role is to assist the Office Administrator in accounting and administrative functions associated at the Division level.</p> <p>This individual will be responsible for keeping detailed accounts and records, maintaining internal accounting controls, monitoring accounts, and solving problems by making recommendations about accounting processes as needed.</p> <p>The Accounting Assistant will report to the Office Administrator and will work primarily out of the Knoxville location.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <ul> <li>Setting up, reviewing and maintaining contracts </li><li>Creating work orders, IMO's (Inventory Material Orders), MSO's (Material Sales Orders) and job numbers </li><li>Invoicing and preparing billing information for customers </li><li>Reviewing and completing job close out review and other monthly accounting reports </li><li>Creating and reviewing job costing information </li><li>Distributes incoming mail/paperwork to appropriate personnel </li><li>Processing job cost transactions for inventory consumption and equipment utilization </li><li>Assisting with collection of timecards </li><li>Answering accounting related calls and e-mails from customers as well as from Pillar employees </li></ul> <p>Other Duties</p> <p>This job posting is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required for this position. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice.</p> <p>What You'll Bring</p> <ul> <li>Valid Driver's License </li><li>Associates Degree in Accounting or related field preferred </li><li>1+ year of accounting or bookkeeping experience OR combination of experience and training </li><li>Basic knowledge of accounting and accounting procedures </li><li>Ability to perform mathematical calculations accurately </li><li>Practical knowledge of office procedures and customer relations </li><li>Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing </li><li>Skill in dealing with the public in a manner which will facilitate any constructive problem solving possible </li><li>Working knowledge of personal computers and software packages including specific knowledge of MS Word and Excel </li><li>Ability to work under stress and handle stressful situations </li><li>Ability to meet deadlines </li><li>Must be dependable; trustworthy; and possess a positive and productive attitude </li><li>Must be able to work well with co-workers in a team environment </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions</p> <ul> <li>Sit, talk, hear, read, write and type. </li><li>Regularly walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms </li><li>Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule to include overtime as needed </li><li>Position involves sitting, bending, lifting, walking </li><li>Must be customer-focused and professional without exception </li><li>Flexible and motivated to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment </li></ul> <p>Additional Eligibility Qualifications</p> <p>This position requires the completion of a thorough background and pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
