<p>Waste Connections has an immediate opening for a Collections Representative based in Memphis, TN.</p> <p>In this position you will be responsible for reaching out to our delinquent accounts via phone calls and emails, taking customer payments over the phone, setting up payment arrangements, and working to resolve problems that arise concerning service or billing.</p> <p>As a Collections Representative with us the minimum responsibilities are:</p> <ul> <li>Working closely with municipal representatives to ensure proper billing and collection </li><li>Making outbound calls and sending emails daily on delinquent accounts </li><li>Apply customer payments to accounts in the system and assist with payment reconciliation </li><li>Handle difficult customers and escalated calls </li><li>Maintain accurate notes in customer accounts </li><li>Provide assistance with online payments </li><li>Provide customers recap of accounts for billing disputes </li><li>Reporting results to management and escalating problem accounts </li></ul> <p>What we need from you:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 1 year of credit and collections experience highly preferred. </li><li>Minimum of 1 year of experience making heavy outbound collections calls highly preferred. </li><li>Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Excel and Word experience. </li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills. </li><li>Ability to speak a second language is a plus! </li></ul> <p>What you'll get from us:</p> <ul> <li>Competitive Compensation </li><li>401(K) with company match; let us help you save for your future </li><li>Healthcare; Medical, Dental, Vision </li><li>Perks, perks, perks!
