Your adventure begins now-unleash your potential with MANTECH!</p> <p>MANTECH seeks a highly motivated and collaborative Software Engineer to join our team in Columbia, MD. In this role, you will develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems based upon documented requirements. Work individually or as part of a team. Review and test software components for adherence to the design requirements and document test results. Resolve software problem reports. Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment. Provide specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.</p> <p>Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Design, code, and modify software to add features, implement high-performance algorithms, and integrate applications into diverse operating environments. </li><li>Design and implement complex data interfaces and execute queries for existing or proposed repositories to ensure data accessibility and system functionality. </li><li>Analyze work processes and system performance to develop technical solutions and provide recommendations for improving development standards. </li><li>Write and review technical documentation while assisting in the development and execution of comprehensive software test procedures. </li><li>Regularly collaborate with team members, management, and customers through clear and effective communication, including delivering professional presentations and ensuring the accurate exchange of critical information </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>20 years of experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. </li><li>Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. 4 years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree. </li><li>1 Required certification: CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, or SSCP </li><li>Hands-on experience operating or platform engineering production-grade Kubernetes clusters </li><li>Understanding of containerization concepts and operations, i.e. pod security standards </li><li>Working knowledge of PKI certificates and PKI management </li><li>Experience with GitOps development and CI/CD pipelines </li><li>Basic Linux administration </li><li>Experience with Python and Bash scripting </li><li>Experience with Jira/Confluence for project, tasks and documentation management </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Understanding of VMware vSphere vCenter, vSphere API and related services </li><li>Understanding of Amazon AWS EC2, EC2 API and related services </li><li>Understanding of advanced Kubernetes performance tuning and troubleshooting for services </li><li>DevOps skills in Go, Ansible and Terraform (IaC) </li></ul> <p>Clearance Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Must have a current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time </li><li>Occasionally moves about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. </li></ul> <p>The projected compensation range for this position is $141,500.00-$236,000.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
