The Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry at the College of Charleston, located in historic Charleston, SC, is accepting applications for a full-time (nine-month per year) Instructor of Chemistry and Lab Manager position to begin August 16, 2026.</p> <p>The successful candidate will contribute to the general chemistry curriculum and oversee laboratory operations. Duties will include teaching introductory courses and labs, preparing solutions and materials for 100- and 200-level labs, training and supervising student workers, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and chemical hygiene guidelines in the classrooms and in prep spaces.</p> <p>A master's degree in chemistry or in a related discipline is required. The department is seeking a dedicated person with a passion for chemical education who can excel at teaching introductory chemistry courses.</p> <p>Applications must be submitted via the electronic portal at jobs.cofc.edu.
