<p>Kforce has a client that is seeking a Staff Accountant in Clearwater, FL.</p> <p>Key Tasks:</p> <ul> <li>Streamline accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring efficiency, accuracy and timely execution </li><li>Own key pieces of the month-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations and variance analysis </li><li>Cultivate an intimate relationship with vendors and customers </li><li>Maintain and update fixed asset schedules </li><li>Assist with audit prep and financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders </li><li>Drive continuous improvement through automation and workflow optimization </li><li>Work on special projects that expose you to senior leadership and cross-functional teams* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field </li><li>1-3 years of professional accounting experience </li><li>Strong grasp of GAAP and financial reporting </li><li>Proficiency in Excel and experience with accounting/ERP systems </li><li>Curiosity, energy and a growth mindset - you don't just want a job, you want a career </li><li>Exceptional attention to detail, paired with the ability to think critically and see the big picture </li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills - you are confident in presenting your ideas </li><li>Must be able to work with ITAR products and related data without restriction </li></ul>
