This role plays a critical part in managing contracts, vendor relationships, and funding to ensure efficient, compliant, and value-driven technology operations.</p> <p>What you will be doing in this position</p> <p>The Contract and Fund Administrator is responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of technology-related contracts funded outside of central IT, including generation, negotiation, administration, and renewal. This individual will collaborate with campus stakeholders, vendors, and leadership to ensure contracts are financially sound, strategically aligned, and effectively managed.</p> <p>This position also supports budgeting and financial oversight, and serves as a key liaison across departments to deliver high-quality contract and vendor management services campus-wide.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>Contract Administration</p> <ul> <li>Maintain and manage a portfolio of existing and new contracts </li><li>Oversee contract lifecycle, including renewals, amendments, and terminations </li><li>Manage purchase orders, invoicing, and vendor coordination </li><li>Track contract timelines and proactively address expirations </li><li>Serve as liaison with vendors, Purchasing, Legal, Risk Management, and internal stakeholders </li></ul> <p>Contract Generation & Negotiation</p> <ul> <li>Lead contract initiation and development for technology services </li><li>Collaborate with campus customers, service managers, and vendors to define terms </li><li>Negotiate pricing, terms, and competitive bids </li><li>Coordinate with Legal Counsel and Risk Management </li><li>Finalize agreements and support procurement/payment processes </li></ul> <p>Fund Administration</p> <ul> <li>Develop and manage budgets for technology funded outside central IT </li><li>Track expenditures and ensure compliance with approved budgets </li><li>Provide regular reporting on fund status </li><li>Support strategic decisions on funding allocations </li></ul> <p>What qualifies you for this role</p> <p>Minimum Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in finance, business, or related field </li><li>3+ years of experience in contracting, procurement, or a related environment </li><li>Experience working with senior/executive stakeholders </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field </li><li>5+ years of experience in IT contracting or procurement </li><li>Strong background in vendor management and contract negotiation </li></ul> <p>Key Skills & Competencies</p> <ul> <li>Strong communication and presentation skills </li><li>Expertise in contract negotiation and lifecycle management </li><li>Financial acumen and fund management experience </li><li>Ability to translate business and technical requirements </li><li>Relationship management and stakeholder collaboration </li><li>Familiarity with procurement processes and technology environments </li></ul> <p>Work Location: This position is based in Provo, Utah on BYU campus.</p> <p>What we offer in return:</p> <p>In addition to our competitive pay structure, this position comes with fantastic benefits, including:</p> <ul> <li>401k.
