To learn more about USC benefits, access the "Working at USC" section on the Applicant Portal at https://uscjobs.sc.edu.</p> <p>Position Description</p> <p>Advertised Job Summary</p> <p>The faculty of the Department of Psychology at the University of South Carolina, Columbia campus, invites applications for a 9-month, full-time, tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin August 16, 2026.</p> <p>Successful candidates will be expected to (1) develop an independent and externally funded research program in neuropsychology, (2) teach undergraduate and graduate courses in areas of expertise (2 courses a semester) (3) supervise graduate research including within our APA-accredited Clinical-Community and/or School Psychology doctoral programs, and (4) contribute to departmental, college and university service.</p> <p>Required Education and Experience</p> <p>The position requires a Ph.D. in Neuropsychology or related field and evidence of a strong research record or potential for impactful scholarship by the start date of the appointment. This position reflects a high priority on brain health at the university and within the college. It also aligns with the development of a unique neurological hospital that will provide neurological and rehabilitation treatment.</p> <p>Candidates must be licensed or license eligible as a psychologist in South Carolina within one year of the start date, with board certification or eligibility in clinical neuropsychology preferred.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>We welcome applicants whose research bridges brain and behavior, including cognitive neuroscience, clinical neuropsychology, developmental neuropsychology or lifespan neurocognitive functioning.
