Nashville, TN 37211</p> <p>Shift: Days. Clinic is open Monday- Friday</p> <p>Onsite: This role requires associates to work from the posted locations full-time, enabling consistent face-to-face collaboration, teamwork, and direct engagement. This policy promotes an environment built on in-person interaction, communication, and immediate support.</p> <p>Please note that per our policy on hybrid/virtual work, candidates not within a reasonable commuting distance from the posting location(s) will not be considered for employment, unless an accommodation is granted as required by law.</p> <p>The Medical Assistant (MA)- Paragon Infusion Centers is responsible for assisting clinicians in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of the physician.</p> <p>How you will make an impact:</p> <ul> <li>Provides front and/or back office support. </li><li>Greets patients in a friendly, service-oriented manner in compliance with Care Center (CCC) or Medical Group Practice protocols and workflows. </li><li>Oversees patient check in by ensuring medical records/charts have been pulled, patient data is current, appropriate paperwork is in order, and charts are reviewed/prepared. </li><li>Interviews patient measures vital signs and records reason for visit. </li><li>Explains procedures, performs treatments, and administers prescribed medication. </li><li>Oversees patient check out by scheduling follow up appointments, collecting co-payment if applicable, ensuring paperwork is complete. </li><li>Schedules and confirms patient appointments. </li><li>Reconciles co-payments at the end of each day. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Requires H.S. diploma or equivalent and minimum of 2 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. </li><li>Requires an active, current and valid Medical Assistant certification. </li><li>Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) may be required. </li><li>For Carelon Health business unit, satisfactory completion of a Tuberculosis test is a requirement for this position. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:</p> <ul> <li>2+ years of experience preferred. </li><li>Outpatient medical office experience preferred. </li><li>Infusion experience preferred. </li><li>Medical billing, prior authorization and order verification experience preferred. </li></ul> <p>Job Level:</p> <p>Non-Management Non-Exempt</p> <p>Workshift:</p> <p>1st Shift (United States of America)</p> <p>Job Family:</p> <p>MED > Licensed/Certified Allied Health Professional</p> <p>Please be advised that Elevance Health only accepts resumes for compensation from agencies that have a signed agreement with Elevance Health.
