Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the primary job functions herein described.</p> <ul> <li>Provides didactic and / or clinical instruction as assigned by the program director </li><li>Supervises and evaluates student clinical and/or lab performance </li><li>Prepares thoroughly for each instructional hour </li><li>Selects learning experiences that facilitate the student attainment of course student learning outcomes </li><li>Maintains accurate records of student work and attendance </li><li>Maintains a safe and orderly learning environment </li><li>Grades and returns student work in a timely manner </li><li>Counsels students regarding their grades and progress in the course </li></ul> <p>Maintains clinical experience records and grades in accordance with institutional / departmental policies</p> <p>Maintains current certifications / license / credentials to practice in their profession</p> <p>Utilizes a variety of instructional evaluation methods considering learning styles and teaching / learning theory</p> <p>Participates in ongoing curriculum evaluation and recommend curriculum changes as appropriate to the changing needs of the program</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:</p> <p>Able to use a wide variety of teaching methods to promote learning</p> <p>Good organizational skills</p> <p>Innovative, creative, motivated and work well with others</p> <p>Ability to exhibit good interpersonal skills</p> <p>Able to maintain records accurately and able to meet deadlines consistently</p> <p>Able to perform normal duties with minimal supervision</p> <p>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</p> <p>Demonstrate resourcefulness, initiative, enthusiasm, and a sincere interest in helping students reach their maximum potential</p> <p>Requirements:</p> <p>Associate degree in respiratory therapy</p> <p>Must be credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist by the National Board of Respiratory Care</p> <p>Must have an active North Carolina Respiratory Care license</p> <p>Two years full-time employment as a clinical practitioner in Respiratory Therapy</p> <p>Preferences:</p> <p>Experience with Blackboard and online teaching tools</p> <p>Bachelor's Degree</p> <p>Neonatal/Pediatric Experience</p> <p>Previous teaching experience in Respiratory or another health-related area</p> <p>As an equal employment opportunity employer, Wake Tech values our workforce.
