Get ready to take the next step and envision your career with our awesome Facilities Maintenance team.</p> <p>As the new Maintenance Supervisor, you will supervise and participate in the maintenance, landscape and irrigation installation, tree pruning and repair of properties.</p> <p>We offer excellent benefits package to include health, dental and vision, defined contribution plan (457b), life insurance, wellness programs, vacation, sick leave, and 12 paid holidays, employee assistance program, tuition reimbursement.</p> <p>Women, minorities and Veterans are encouraged to apply.</p> <p>We are a Veteran-friendly employer.</p> <ul> <li>Supervises, directs, and evaluates assigned staff, processing employee concerns and problems, directing work, counseling, disciplining, and completing employee performance appraisals. </li><li>Coordinates, assigns, and reviews work and establishes work schedules; maintains standards; monitors status of work in progress; inspects completed work assignments; answers questions; gives advice and direction as needed. </li><li>Manages service and work order requests in work order management system assigned to include, but not limited to, general maintenance, carpentry, pressure washing, painting, and roofing. </li><li>Procures and inventories necessary equipment and supplies. </li><li>Coordinates work with contractors and other utility providers. </li><li>Ensures maintenance tasks and procedures are in compliance with state and federal regulations. </li><li>Performs job-site inspections to investigate damage and conclude the repair assignment. </li><li>Processes, reviews, approves, and expedites invoices from vendors. </li><li>May function as contract administrator, when assigned, to ensure work performed by contractors is within specifications. </li><li>Performs various skilled tasks in building maintenance, repair, alteration, and remodeling. </li><li>Repairs walls, ceilings, and roofs; pressure washes and paints city owned assets, and repairs roofs as needed. </li><li>Plans and completes special projects to upgrade or improve work processes or infrastructure maintenance. </li><li>Maintains professional certifications and attends training. </li><li>Participates in establishing and enforcing policies and procedures; participates in departmental planning activities. </li><li>Assists in developing program improvements; investigates citizen complaints and issues and works to resolve. </li><li>Maintains accurate records. </li><li>Responds to afterhours emergencies. </li><li>Coordinates emergency repairs. </li><li>Performs other related duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>High School Diploma or GED equivalent plus four (4) years of construction or facility maintenance experience or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Roofing, carpentry, and painting experience preferred. Supervisor experience preferred.</p> <p>Must possess and maintain a valid state commercial driver's license with an acceptable driving history (dependent upon assigned department.</p> <p>Work Location: 5 Interchange Court Work Hours: 7 am - 3:30 pm</p> <p>Background investigation, including supervised drug screen, post offer/pre-employment medical screen; and verification of education, certifications, and licenses required prior to employment. </p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of city policies and procedures. </li><li>Knowledge of the departmental maintenance manual. </li><li>Knowledge of playground safety inspection standards. </li><li>Knowledge of custodial operations. </li><li>Knowledge of building maintenance. </li><li>Knowledge of construction operations. </li><li>Knowledge of applicable ADA guidelines. </li><li>Skill in the use of computers and other standard office equipment. </li><li>Skill in organization and interpersonal relations. </li><li>Skill in the maintenance and operation of small and medium equipment. </li><li>Skill in oral and written communication. </li></ul>
