<p>The Estimating Assistant will assist estimators with all facets of requests for quotation, and any other tasks necessary for the efficient operation of the estimating department. An Estimating Assistant needs to have a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and desire to be part of a strong team.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Assist estimators, sales, plant or any other personnel in any facet of completing a request for quote. </li><li>Log all necessary information pertaining to requests for quotation in the proper format using the computer. </li><li>Generate quote letters in the proper format using the computer, have approved by proper personnel and communicate to the customer. </li><li>Answer phones and/or quoting hotline. </li><li>Contact customers or other Paulo personnel to clarify questions or obtain additional information pertaining to a request for quotation using e-mail, teams or phone. </li><li>Complete basic requests for quotation as dictated by the estimator(s) using knowledge of heat treat and basic mathematical concepts. </li><li>Develop a working knowledge of basic heat treat principles, math concepts, manufacturing methods, reading of blueprints, pricing concepts and equipment/plant processing capabilities. </li><li>Perform any applicable duties in the efficient operation of the estimating department and in the integration of the pricing department, as required. </li><li>Work with and train in Paulo plants to gain skills and knowledge related to estimating duties. </li><li>Travel to and participate in job-related meetings, conventions, training, etc. Such travel may involve overnight stays of one or more nights. </li><li>Job requires onsite training, will move to hybrid upon completion of training* </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Requires a minimum of a two-year college degree or equivalent experience. </li><li>Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy. </li><li>Ability to read blueprints. </li><li>Good math aptitude. </li><li>Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines. </li><li>Able to work independently as well as be a team player. </li></ul> <p>License(s)/Certification(s) Required:</p> <ul> <li>Valid drivers license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record in compliance with Paulo's Vehicle Use Policy. </li></ul> <p>Competitive Benefits Package:</p> <ul> <li>Medical benefits (including Teledoc Telehealth Visits) </li><li>Dental benefits </li><li>Group Life Insurance </li><li>Voluntary Life Insurance </li><li>Vision Insurance </li><li>Holiday Pay </li><li>Sickness & Accident pay </li><li>401k with employer match and employer contribution up to 5.5% </li><li>Employee Referral Bonus & chance to win annual $2,000 drawing! </li><li>Employee Assistance Program </li></ul>
