<p>EMH&T is currently seeking a Civil Engineering CAD Technician to join our Survey team located in Columbus, OH.</p> <p>As the Survey Technician, you'll gain hands-on experience in surveying and foundational mapping skills while working under the guidance of an experience surveyor; you'll be responsible for processing field survey data and producing accurate, high-quality survey drawings and maps; you will utilize computer aided drafting (AutoCAD, Civil 3D) software to create technical drawings for topographical and boundary surveys; and you'll work closely with field crews, project managers, and engineers to ensure deliverables meet project and client expectations.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Carries out a variety of drafting assignments using independent judgment and initiative. </li><li>Prepares layouts, drawings and designs according to engineering specifications using CAD software. </li><li>Retrieves information from files, edits, produces hardcopies and updates drawings/designs. </li><li>Reviews engineering drawings and documentation, resolves undefined details. </li></ul> <p>Desired Skills:</p> <ul> <li>A self-starter that demonstrates dependability and consistent work efforts. </li><li>Ability to work independently and enjoy working in a team environment. </li><li>High attention to detail. </li><li>Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to express ideas clearly. </li><li>Receive and apply constructive feedback. </li><li>Experience and proficiency with general surveying practices, boundary control and legal principles, preferred. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Some technical education, specialized training or work experience with one or more CAD platforms such as AutoCAD, Microstation, ARC/INFO. </li><li>Knowledge of Survey Geomatics techniques, principles, tools and various methods for graphically describing the location and distribution of land, physical relationships, and characteristics </li><li>Experience as a surveying technician is preferred. </li></ul> <p>Benefits</p> <p>EMH&T offers a generous benefit package to all full-time employees that includes medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, medical & dependent care FSAs, paid vacation, sick and personal leaves, paid community service time off, paid parental leave, 401(k) with match, company paid life insurance, a wellness reimbursement, an employee recognition program, an employee assistance program that includes legal and identify theft services.
