Must be available to work additional hours as needed.</p> <p>Who May Apply?</p> <p>All persons legally authorized to work in the United States</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Perform day-to-day management of all payment cycle activities which include receiving and entering all invoices into the system and monitor receivers for all invoices. </li><li>Handle all invoice discrepancies and errors by correcting accounting codes, working with City departments, and contacting Purchasing with purchase order errors. </li><li>Work with IT staff, Finance Managers, and City Departments to identify and implement best practices for both AP Division and City Departments regarding AP technical and system issues/items. </li><li>Reconcile monthly vendor statements and resolve any outstanding balances on accounts. </li><li>Audit the weekly check register by reconciling invoices to the register and checking for any errors. </li><li>Perform complex and technical AP work as needed. </li><li>Process miscellaneous check runs for expense checks and processing voids. </li><li>Review monthly Accounts Payable reports to check for unprocessed vouchers. </li><li>Close the Accounts Payable module in the system on a monthly basis. </li><li>May be asked to perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Requires an Associate's degree </li><li>Minimum of two (2) years of related experience </li><li>A combination of education and pertinent experience may be considered </li><li>Must have intermediate level Excel experience and be detail oriented </li></ul> <p>Other Information:</p> <p>Benefits</p> <p>The City offers an excellent benefit package that includes:</p> <ul> <li>Texas Municipal Retirement System - TMRS is a required retirement plan for all full-time employees.
