Base Operations at Page Field is an award-winning, fixed-based operator and has been recognized for its customer service and facilities.</p> <p>Terminal Expansion projects are currently underway at RSW to improve the airport travel experience by consolidating the security checkpoints, adding concession space and providing passengers more amenities and options. In addition, a new Concourse E is being constructed with 14 gates, as well as other terminal, landside and airside improvements.</p> <p>The Position </p> <p>The starting rate for the ideal candidate is $18.22 hourly.</p> <p>The Lee County Port Authority is seeking a skilled and highly motivated individual to join our airport operations team, where you will enjoy a positive and supportive work environment in a challenging and rewarding career in the aviation industry. The successful candidate will balance workload between providing excellent customer service and inspections of property and services.  The candidate will assist the airport community and general public in locating the desired method of transportation while ensuring commercial transportation companies operate in accordance with established standards, rules, regulations and ordinances. This position reports to the landside airport operations manager.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities </p> <ul> <li>Disseminates general ground transportation information to the public and transportation operators </li><li>Ensures the safe, convenient and efficient operation of services in terminal front, rental car and parking areas of the airport </li><li>Monitors all commercial vehicle operations and permitting which includes but is not limited to: taxis, limos, for-hire vehicles, TNCs and courtesy hotel or off-airport service providers  </li><li>Collects applicable fees from ground transportation operators  </li><li>Performs routine and special inspections throughout the landside area and portions of the terminal, as well as on taxi/limos/shuttle buses for safety and contract compliance </li><li>Monitors the concession operated parking lots and parking shuttle bus service  </li><li>Assists with other terminal customer service responsibilities including but not limited to: lost and found, TSA line queuing, baggage handling system issues, Irregular Operations and aircraft diversions  </li><li>Performs other related paperwork functions, assigned projects and inspections as required </li><li>The position requires inside and outside work with extended periods of standing, sitting, and/or walking in all weather conditions. Employees may work a rotating and/or permanent shift. The duties require agent presence during all hours of flight arrival activity </li></ul> <p>Minimum Requirements</p> <ul> <li>High School graduation/GED </li><li>Two years customer service or commercial transportation experience </li><li>A valid Florida driver's license within 30 days of hire </li><li>Must have the ability to operate standard office equipment, and be familiar with Microsoft and Google Office Suite </li></ul> <p>Emergency Response/Recovery Activities: Lee County Port Authority personnel are designated by tier levels and may be called upon to assist with an emergency or unforeseen event at any time.
