Key duties include monitoring and supporting licensed blind vendors, managing vending site agreements, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, handling program finances, resolving vendor issues, and coordinating maintenance and equipment needs. Apply to join our team today!</p> <p>Job duties</p> <ul> <li>Identify/approve purchases for the NBE program and sites. </li><li>Maintain streamlined communication between vendors, sites, contractors, and NCBVI staff. </li><li>Oversee contracts and programs for all vending sites, including private, state, and federal locations. </li><li>Ensure that the program aligns with federal requirements outlined in the Randolph Sheppard Act, including completing an annual federal report. </li><li>Coordinate communication between the NBE committee and coordinate quarterly (and as needed) meetings. </li><li>Provide various reports to different entities on the current happenings within the program. </li><li>Identify new vending sites to grow the program, negotiate contracts, and ensure that sites are running smoothly. </li><li>Supervise two staff in the NBE program. </li><li>Perform other job duties as required within the scope of the classification code. </li></ul> <p>Requirements / Qualifications</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in public or business administration, accounting or any discipline related to the work assigned. One year of experience in planning, organizing, and implementing program administrative or business financial functions. Experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with contracts, federal or military sites, or knowledge of self-employment</p> <p>Other: Immersion training under a blindfold will take place in Lincoln at 4600 Valley Road, Suite 100, Lincoln NE, 68510. All new hires must complete 600 hours of immersion training at NCBVI expense to gain a Certification as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor for the Blind (CVRCB). This position requires travel. As such, the incumbent must be able to present a valid driver's license or request driver accommodations for those with disabilities.
