<p>Occupational Therapist with Brockton Public Schools who will provide quality school-based occupational therapy services, which includes but is not limited to assessment/evaluation, intervention/treatment, IEP planning and implementation, discharge planning, related documentation, and communication between teachers, teacher assistants, related service providers, and families.</p> <p>Responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of occupational therapy theories, models of practice, and evidence based practice </li><li>Knowledge in Sensory Integration theory and practices </li><li>Ability to recognize and treat performance deficits in the areas of activities of daily living, student roles, sensory processing skills, executive functions, and written communication </li><li>Skill in gathering screening and evaluation data, completing checklists, histories, and interviews </li><li>Skill in effective oral and written communication </li><li>Ability to prepare and maintain accurate records and progress notes while maintaining compliance </li><li>Completion of thorough evaluation, including muscle tone, range of motion/mobility, sensory processing, visual motor and perception, fine motor, executive functions, and functional activities of daily living </li><li>Develop and implement IEPs to meet the individual needs of the child </li><li>Attend staff meetings, in-service training, and continuing education courses as required. </li></ul>
