<p>POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT</p> <p>Research Scientist III</p> <p>Salary Grade 25: $92,055 - $111,115 (NYC)</p> <p>The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene, Inc. is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the full-time position of Research Scientist III in the Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS), Division of Grants Management and Special Projects. OASAS is the agency responsible for tracking and reporting of the effectiveness of the Opioid Settlement Funding on funded initiatives in New York State. Initiatives will vary in size and scope, and address unmet needs along the continuum of prevention, harm reduction, treatment and recovery. Initiatives may include new service implementation or build on pilot or pre-existing projects.</p> <p>Responsibilities include but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Support the evaluation of multiple, concurrent projects funded by the Opioid Settlement Fund. </li><li>Design and implement evaluation plans that address project objectives and stakeholder needs. </li><li>Liaise between the data team and the project management team to field and address data quality concerns. </li><li>Design, collect, analyze, and interpret project data using both qualitative and quantitative methods. </li><li>Write clear and concise data summaries for a range of audiences. </li><li>Develop reports for senior management and external stakeholders. </li><li>Prepare reports and presentations for national and local conferences and meetings, and also manuscripts for peer-reviewed publication. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant social science and four (4) years' research, evaluation, or data management experience; OR </li><li>A Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant social science and a minimum of three (3) years of research, evaluation, or data management experience; OR </li><li>A Ph.D. from an accredited college or university in a relevant social science and a minimum of two (2) years of research, evaluation, or data management experience. </li><li>2 years of experience using SAS and/or SQL </li><li>2 years of experience organizing, managing, and analyzing quantitative data using descriptive statistics. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills in complex programs evidenced by positions held working on multi-disciplinary teams. </li><li>Expertise in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point is required. </li><li>Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau is desired. </li><li>Skilled in presenting data visuals to wide audiences, especially those without a data background. </li><li>Ability to understand, interpret, and critique empirical findings. </li></ul> <p>Location: 501 7th Avenue, New York, NY 10018</p> <p>To Apply: Submit an application through our website at https://rfmh.applicantpro.com/jobs/ Please note only applications submitted through our website will be considered.</p> <p>The Mission of the Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene, Inc.
