As a Bridge CAD technician, you will be responsible for supporting structural detailing effort, plan sheet development, and potentially 3D bridge modeling for multi-discipline transportation projects. Projects will include single- and multi-span bridges, complex retaining walls, and require close coordination with Bridge Engineers.</p> <p>What are the core responsibilities for the role?</p> <ul> <li>Be enthusiastic, dedicated, and self-disciplined to work effectively in a fast-paced environment </li><li>Prioritize work to meet various project requests and deadlines, answering to various engineers </li><li>Produce accurate output with a keen eye for aesthetics </li><li>Manage project data files from various sources </li><li>Be proactive and responsive in effectively communicating with colleagues and clients, both in-person and virtually/remotely </li><li>Manage workspaces and develop plan sets in ORD, including sheet creation and plan set development </li></ul> <p>Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies:</p> <ul> <li>2 to 5 years of Computer Aided Drafting experience </li><li>Associates degree or equivalent technical degree </li><li>Knowledge of state DOT standards is a plus, but not required </li><li>Prioritize work to meet various project requests and deadlines, answering to various engineers and project managers </li><li>Ability to read and interpret construction drawings; ability to think 3-dimensionally </li><li>Must be able to work independently with the ability to accomplish multiple tasks, with competing priorities </li><li>Be a professional, creative, team-focused individual who works well with others in a team environment </li><li>Be enthusiastic, dedicated, and self-disciplined to work effectively in a fast-paced environment </li></ul> <p>Why would a candidate want this job?</p> <p>At Horrocks, you can expect a competitive base salary and award-winning benefits.
