We work across Boeing and will help you launch your career in a high paced teaming environment!</p> <p>The Thermal Design & Analysis Engineer (Lead, Senior or Principal) with Cryogenic Expertise supports the design, analysis, development and documentation of mechanical system and thermal environment for a cryogenic-based satellite. You will be part of Boeing's Space, Intelligence & Weapons Systems, System Engineering team. We help our employees to see the full system picture of satellite design from the beginning of a contract through to satellite build, test, and final launch. You will get to see the full system and can participate in every step growing from an analyst to a leader or manager, or staying technical and diving deep into an aerospace technology.</p> <p>Position Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Supports design, analysis development and documentation of thermal environment for multiple types of spacecraft and structural, electro-mechanical, and electro-optical systems, subsystems, units, and components.</p> </li><li> <p>Supports the development, maintenance or modification of system designs/proposals to provide design documentation and high-level requirements to downstream users/customers.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs detail design and analysis of thermal units, subsystems and systems.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform thermal testing support and mission control support putting you in the driver seat.</p> </li><li> <p>Support the development, maintenance or modification of system designs/proposals to provide design documentation and high-level requirements to downstream users/customers.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs detail design and analysis development and modification of mechanical, electrical, and thermal system installations.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists in preparing technical documents for mechanical components and systems.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists in establishing and documenting environmental/thermal engineering and system level design requirements (e.g. performance, environment, functionality, life, envelope, integration).</p> </li><li> <p>Assists in performing and documenting analyses of environmental/thermal components and systems using models and tools to validate or assess the design.</p> </li><li> <p>Supports the development of ideas and concepts for future environmental/thermal control.</p> </li><li> <p>Launch and On-Orbit Spacecraft Mission and Spacecraft Thermal Vacuum Testing support is expected.</p> </li></ul> <p>Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science</p> </li><li> <p>This position requires an active U.S. Tier 5 Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required).
