<p>Job Description POSITION SCOPE:</p> <p>The XGS Dispatcher has the primary responsibility of dispatching drivers at the Service Center.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Dispatch drivers on city deliveries and backhauls </li><li>Answering daily phone calls for Customer p/u request </li><li>Communicate with drivers, customers, and customer service daily </li><li>Scheduling and setting up local LTL city routes </li><li>Answering all e mails in a timely manner </li><li>Responsible for daily city planning </li><li>Setting up deliveries and returns daily </li><li>Send daily City Hours to management Samsara / Tracking Drivers and equipment </li><li>Ensure all trailers are entered and carried in Dispatch Planner Sheet </li><li>Daily Cheetah Responsible for daily and next day city planning </li><li>Set up daily deliveries in AS 400 and research Pros in AS 400 </li><li>Other duties as assigned by Service Center Manager </li></ul> <p>Job Requirements PREREQUISITE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EDUCATION:</p> <ul> <li>2-4 years relevant experience </li><li>High School Diploma or GED </li><li>Excellent Customer Service Skills Computer Skills: </li><li>Microsoft Office, Excel, Word </li><li>Good organizational skills </li><li>Familiar with the Area </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>Frequently lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 70 pounds; pull up to 100 pounds and push up to 50 pounds </li><li>Occasionally climb stairs, frequently stoop, kneel or crouch </li><li>Use hands and arms to reach for, grasp and manipulate object </li><li>Have manual dexterity to operate a computer and other office machines </li><li>Handle exposure to extreme cold and/or hot working conditions </li><li>Handle average exposure to fumes working around tractor trailers, lift trucks, yard tractors present in the distribution environment </li></ul> <p>We are a company that strives to bring our people together for open collaboration, development and growth, regular celebrations while supporting and building stronger communities in which we serve.</p> <p>ENVIRONMENT</p> <p>Most work is conducted in a comfortable office environment but exposure to site conditions may also occur. Personal protective equipment must be worn in all areas as required.
