<p>Product Definition Engineer</p> <p>Location: Jupiter, FL or East Hartford, CT</p> <p>Citizenship Requirement: U.S. Citizenship required due to ITAR restrictions</p> <p>Overview</p> <p>We are seeking an experienced Product Definition Engineer with deep expertise in mechanical design, drawing creation, and manufacturing integration for complex aerospace components. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), manufacturing processes, and product definition standards-with the ability to both create and review detailed engineering drawings in compliance with aerospace requirements.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Create and manipulate complex solid models and assemblies in NX (UG).</p> </li><li> <p>Develop detailed component and assembly drawings (prints) with full GD&T application.</p> </li><li> <p>Review and check final drawings produced by junior engineers for accuracy and compliance.</p> </li><li> <p>Incorporate development and production engineering changes affecting Bills of Material (BOM) and component interfaces.</p> </li><li> <p>Interface and coordinate with multiple engineering disciplines to exchange data supporting engine builds and drawing releases.</p> </li><li> <p>Develop and design solutions to part definition and assembly challenges in accordance with customer and program requirements.</p> </li><li> <p>Generate engineering markups on detail and assembly prints based on design requirements and customer input.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform final checks on Cyient-produced prints prior to customer release.</p> </li><li> <p>Communicate design definition clearly and effectively with internal and external customers.</p> </li><li> <p>Produce complex integration documents and major assemblies, including:</p> </li><li> <p>Product definition part drawings</p> </li><li> <p>Cross-section layouts</p> </li><li> <p>Interface Control Documents (ICDs)</p> </li><li> <p>Component Interface Coordination Requirements</p> </li><li> <p>Installation and assembly drawings</p> </li><li> <p>Material mapping layouts</p> </li><li> <p>Mount and maneuver load documentation</p> </li><li> <p>Ground handling identification and load definition drawings</p> </li><li> <p>Interpret and apply part-family-specific geometric form control per ASME Y14.5M standards.</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>5+ years of relevant Product Definition experience, preferably within the aerospace industry.</p> </li><li> <p>5+ years of experience checking drawings, ideally to Pratt & Whitney standards.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as welding, stamping, casting, sheet metal fabrication, injection molding, and machining.</p> </li><li> <p>Proficiency with NX (UG) and Teamcenter required.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience working within Externals or Mechanical Components disciplines preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity with Class II processes and ability to process part-family-specific Class II Engineering Changes (including marked prints) is a plus.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be a U.S. Citizen (due to ITAR restrictions).</p> </li></ul> <p>Department: Transportation (NAM) Associate Positions: 1 Skills Required: Aerospace Location: East HartfordDesignation: AssociatePosted On: 26-Feb-2026</p>
