Sharing their skills and wisdom, as well as learning from colleagues progressing towards technical, or leadership roles.</p> <p>What You'll Do:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Work with new customers to integrate Fastly into their systems during their on-boarding</p> </li><li> <p>Design and build technical solutions on Fastly, using VCL / Go / Rust / Javascript</p> </li><li> <p>Provide existing customers guidance on additional features and performance tuning.</p> </li><li> <p>Write and present training materials to customers and internal teams</p> </li><li> <p>Work with Sales Engineers to build Proof Of Concepts for prospective customers</p> </li><li> <p>Be the Subject Matter Expert on the Fastly Delivery and Compute platform</p> </li></ul> <p>What We're Looking For:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Proficiency in CDN and WAF technologies, including configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting.</p> </li><li> <p>Expert knowledge of HTTP and web application implementation</p> </li><li> <p>Troubleshooting supporting protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, TLS)</p> </li><li> <p>Basic coding knowledge, including having built projects in one of Go, JavaScript, or Rust</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with customer-facing technical consultant</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with project management, including analyzing a project's requirements, designing and documenting a solution, and delivering that to successful completion</p> </li><li> <p>Created training materials and mentored junior team members</p> </li></ul> <p>We'll be super impressed if you have experience in any of these:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Experience in additional programming languages</p> </li><li> <p>Written and deployed automated testing ideally on top of continuous integration / continuous deployment systems</p> </li><li> <p>Worked with infrastructure automation / configuration management systems</p> </li></ul> <p>Work Hours:</p> <p>This position will require you to be available during core business hours.</p> <p>Work Location(s) & Travel Requirements:</p> <p>This position is a remote role and open to candidates residing in the following locations:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Pacific timezone (PST)</p> </li><li> <p>Mountain timezone (MST)</p> </li></ul> <p>This position may require travel as required by your role or requested by your manager.</p> <p>SF / LA Fair Chance Ordinance Statement</p> <p>Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance and the Los Angeles Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.</p> <p>Salary:</p> <p>The estimated salary range for this position is $122,280 to $172,632</p> <p>Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and location.</p> <p>This role may be eligible to participate in Fastly's equity and discretionary bonus programs.</p> <p>Benefits:</p> <p>We care about you.
