<p>Employment Type:</p> <p>Part time</p> <p>Shift:</p> <p>Day Shift</p> <p>Description:</p> <p>GENERAL SUMMARY:</p> <p>The purpose of this position is to assist Mercy College in fulfilling its mission by facilitating student acquisition of the required knowledge, attitudes, and skills necessary for success in the student's chosen career in health sciences.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Provides teaching, supervision and evaluation of student learning experiences.</p> </li><li> <p>Provides individual advisement and guidance for intellectual and professional development of students.</p> </li><li> <p>Develops, implements and revises course content in a limited subject area.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.</p> </li></ul> <p>MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Master's degree in teaching discipline or Master's degree with 18 graduate credits in teaching discipline.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated ability in managing, leading or training others.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated ability to utilize appropriate, varied and innovative classroom/clinical/field teaching strategies.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated experience in project development and management.</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent relationship building skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Doctorate degree preferred.</p> </li></ul> <p>REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:</p> <ul> <li>Reports to the Program Chair, Health Science and Liberal Arts and Science. </li></ul> <p>Our Commitment</p> <p>Rooted in our Mission and Core Values, we honor the dignity of every person and recognize the unique perspectives, experiences, and talents each colleague brings.
