<p>The Dover Public Schools seek an innovative instructional leader committed to academic excellence, educational equity, and the social-emotional wellness of students and staff.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Collaborate with teachers to design, implement, and assess effective curriculum strategies that align with educational standards and the unique needs of elementary school students. </li><li>Support educators in identifying and addressing individual professional development needs to enhance overall teaching quality. </li><li>Collaborate with teachers through the structure of PLC and Data Team Meetings to analyze student performance data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and effective interventions. </li><li>Work closely with all educators to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. </li><li>Teach, model, and consistently uphold clear behavioral expectations for students across all school settings-including the bus, playground, and classrooms-to ensure a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for all learners. </li><li>Foster open and effective communication with parents regarding curriculum, student progress, and school initiatives. </li><li>Organize and participate in community events to build strong partnerships between the school and the community. </li><li>Conduct regular classroom observations with a keen focus on teaching practices, student engagement, and the implementation of instructional strategies. </li><li>Develop the school-wide instructional schedule </li><li>Coordinate MCAS testing schedules and administrative structures </li><li>Other responsibilities as assigned by the Principal. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Massachusetts Principal/Assistant Principal License (PK-8) </li><li>Master's degree </li><li>Proven experience as an elementary school teacher with a strong record of successful teaching and student outcomes. </li><li>Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in a leadership or administrative role. </li><li>Strong knowledge of current educational trends, teaching methodologies, and curriculum development. </li><li>Commitment to educational equity, diversity, and inclusion </li><li>Understanding of child development and social-emotional needs </li><li>Knowledge of curricular standards and contemporary instructional practices </li><li>Experience with teacher supervision and evaluation </li><li>Ability to collaborate with a diverse group of stakeholders </li><li>Effective oral and written communication skills </li><li>Strong organizational skills </li><li>Drive for continuous learning and improvement </li></ul> <p>Salary range: $120,000-$130,000 commensurate with experience, 204 day contract</p> <p>Please direct any questions to: Denny Conklin Assistant Superintendent, Dover-Sherborn Public Schools conklind@doversherborn.org</p>
