Job Summary</p> <p>Develops and implements the strategic sourcing and vendor relationship strategies, essential to Oakleaf.</p> <p>II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities</p> <p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.</p> <ul> <li>Procures services through third-party vendors and technicians, ensuring quality and efficiency. </li><li>Maintains vendor relationships, negotiates agreements, and monitors service quality and contractual commitments. </li><li>Oversees vendor selection, qualification, and database management to optimize service performance. </li><li>Serves as the primary contact for purchases, service agreements, deliveries, and customer satisfaction concerns. </li><li>Resolves escalated vendor and technician issues while ensuring adherence to service level agreements. </li><li>Develops and assists in Requests for Information (RFIs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and business cases. </li><li>Directs vendor payment processes, tracking trends, improving procedures, and driving team performance. </li><li>Guides Vendor Payable Supervisors, fostering collaboration and efficiency among teams and external partners. </li><li>Manages department personnel needs, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and compensation decisions. </li></ul> <p>III. Qualifications</p> <p>The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.</p> <p>Bachelor's Degree (accredited) or in lieu of degree</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED (accredited) </li><li>4 years of relevant work experience. </li><li>4 years of relevant work experience (in addition to education requirement). </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Proficient leadership skills with the ability to manage, mentor, and coach a team </li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to drive continuous improvement </li><li>Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present their point of view in varied business situation </li><li>Analytical and qualitative abilities </li><li>Ability to effectively manage multiple projects with overlapping tasks and work independently with minimal supervision. </li><li>Ability to prioritize based on department and company standards </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Excel; advanced level (pivot tables, v-lookups & use of macros are standard practice) </li><li>Knowledge of Waste Management services, policies, and system interfaces a plus </li></ul> <p>Normal setting for this job is: office setting in Windsor, CT.</p> <p>The expected base pay range for this hybrid position is $89,000- $120,000. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
