Pay Rate $20.00/per hour Description</p> <p>SALARY: $20.00/hour</p> <p>POSITION SUMMARY:</p> <p>The Tennis Operations Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Leeper Park Tennis Center, ensuring the delivery of high-quality tennis programs and services to the community. This position offers up to 29 hours per week.</p> <p>SUPERVISION EXERCISED:</p> <p>Responsible for supervising tennis center staff, including tennis instructors, maintenance personnel, and volunteers.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Supervise Tennis Center Staff: Oversee daily operations and manage staff, including tennis instructors, maintenance personnel, and volunteers. </li><li>Program Management: Develop, implement, and manage tennis programs such as lessons, leagues, camps, and tournaments for all skill levels. </li><li>Facility Management: Ensure the cleanliness, maintenance, and safety of tennis courts, equipment, and common areas. </li><li>Event Coordination: Organize and support gameday events, tournaments, and special community activities. </li><li>Customer Service: Provide exceptional service by addressing customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a timely and professional manner. </li><li>Scheduling & Reservations: Oversee court reservations and ensure optimal scheduling for both casual play and organized events. </li><li>Marketing & Promotion: Assist in developing and executing marketing strategies to promote programs, events, and the tennis center. </li></ul> <p>NON-ESSENTIAL/MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and record-keeping as needed. </li><li>Help with the planning and execution of special promotions or community outreach initiatives. </li><li>Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities. </li><li>Occasionally assist in procurement and inventory management of tennis equipment and supplies. </li><li>Support the development of new program offerings or facility improvements. </li><li>Assist with customer outreach, including follow-ups and surveys to assess program satisfaction. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned by the Athletics Manager. </li></ul> <p>Position Requirements</p> <p>EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma required; bachelor's preferred. 3+ years of tennis operations or instruction experience. </li><li>Strong staff supervision, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work evenings and weekends; CPR/First Aid preferred. </li></ul> <p>KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Strong knowledge of tennis techniques, programming, and event coordination. </li><li>Excellent leadership and staff management skills. </li><li>Effective communication and problem-solving abilities. </li><li>Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. </li></ul> <p>CERTIFICATES, LICENSE, REGISTRATION:</p> <ul> <li>Valid Driver's license required. </li><li>CPR and First Aid certification preferred. </li><li>Tennis certification (USTA, PTR, or similar) preferred but not required. </li></ul> <p>EQUIPMENT:</p> <ul> <li>Tennis equipment (racquets, balls, nets, etc.) and maintenance tools. </li><li>Scheduling software (SmartRec and EventLink) and general office equipment. </li><li>Facility maintenance tools (cleaning equipment, etc.). </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and remain active for extended periods; occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. </li><li>Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform light physical labor related to tennis court and facility maintenance. </li></ul> <p>WORK ENVIRONMENT:</p> <ul> <li>Primarily outdoors with exposure to varying weather conditions, overseeing tennis courts, events, and maintenance tasks. </li><li>Combination of active, customer-facing duties and office work, with extended hours during events, weekends, and evenings. </li></ul> <p>DISCLAIMER:</p> <p>The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position.
