<p>Overview</p> <p>The Shipping, Receiving and Assembly Supervisor has accountability for the overall operation of those departments during the assigned shift hours, areas of responsibility include: Safety & Environmental, Quality, Efficiency, Productivity and Adherence to Schedule.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Essential Responsibilities & Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Managing the activities and workflow for all hourly team members during the assigned operational shift of the plant </li><li>Directing and managing the training activities of new employees. </li><li>Administering Company policies and practices fairly. </li><li>Ensuring that work areas comply with health, safety and environmental standards - training in emergency response and waste management required. </li><li>Adherence to all internal and external quality standards and delivery schedules </li><li>Frequently communicates with direct reports and management counterparts. </li><li>Evaluate, manage and motivate all direct reports with a strong emphasis on planning, organization, preparation, follow-up and internal communication. </li><li>Support a lean, high-performance culture that rewards overachievement and encourages continuous improvement. </li><li>Communicates clearly and directly with employees concerning performance expectations, productivity, and accountability. </li><li>Communicates with and directs delivery and pick-up drivers. </li><li>Maintains accurate inventory levels to meet customer demands. </li></ul> <p>Direct Reports:</p> <ul> <li>Hourly personnel in Shipping, Receiving and small light assembly department </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Qualifications and Competencies:</p> <ul> <li>A minimum 1 year of experience as a front-line supervisor in manufacturing (with minimum of 10 direct reports); related experience in logistics and shipping preferred. </li><li>Associate Degree in Business Management or related field preferred but not required </li><li>Proficient with MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access </li><li>Results oriented leadership style with a focus on customer satisfaction. </li><li>Strong decision making and problem-solving skills. </li><li>Maintains high integrity and credibility with all peers and associates. </li><li>Ability to communicate professionally with people at all levels of the organization as well as external contacts. </li><li>Capable of driving results in a lean manufacturing environment to achieve daily, weekly and monthly KPI's. </li></ul>
