<p>Responsibilities for this Position</p> <p>Senior Facilities Capital Projects Manager</p> <p>US-CT-Groton</p> <p>Job ID: 2025-15547</p> <p>Type: Full-Time</p> <p># of Openings: 1</p> <p>Category: Program Management</p> <p>EB Groton Shipyard</p> <p>Overview</p> <p>Electric Boats Facilities and Real Estate Department is searching for an individual to fulfill the important role of Senior Facilities Capital Projects Representative / Program Representative Senior. This position will be responsible for developing, implementing and supporting shipyard capital expansion, renovation and improvement projects.</p> <p>Listed below are some of the many responsibilities for which this individual will be responsible:</p> <p>Provide overall project management duties in the development, design, execution, and closeout of new capital and/or capital renovation / improvement projectsDevelop engineering and design requirements, generate scope requirements, and front end engineering documents to enable capital project design kickoff(s)Participate in the formation and administration of design, consultant, and contractor / construction manager agreements required to execute capital expansion, renovation and improvement projectsLead diverse, multi-functional teams in the design and construction of capital expansion projects, including but not limited to internal Company teams, third party / Owner project managers, architects, engineers, material testing agencies, construction managers, general contractors, and suppliersWork to establish and maintain capital budgets including submitting monthly accruals, budget forecasts, and reconciliation of actuals; provide explanations for variances and any proposed adjustmentsMaintain project budget and schedule for all project team including internal Company and external contractors and vendorsWork with Facilities leads and management, building occupants, complex system end users and particularly business unit leaders to ensure that objectives are being met; coordinate duties with Real Estate and Facilities leadershipRegular inspection of capital projects with contractors, vendors, and suppliers to review quality of work and adherence to contractual requirements and standardsCoordinate project management requirements with Legal; Environmental, Health, and Safety; Security, Fire Department; and Real Estate and Facilities, as well as with operational groups</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Strong project management and personnel management skills requiredAbility to motivate and lead multi-disciplinary project management, design, and construction teamsStrong negotiation, budget, and schedule management and reporting skillsProficiency in understanding design and construction documentsProficiency in submittal and RFI creation, review and disposition</p> <ul> <li>Ability and experience to effectively use Microsoft programs including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Required:</p> <p>Bachelors degree (or higher) in Construction Management, Building Science, Engineering, or Architecture4+ years of experience in the area of building construction, real estate development, facility management, design, or engineering</p> <p>Preferred:</p> <p>7+ years of experience in development, design, and construction of commercial real estate projects or related experience</p>
