<p>CDL Enhancement: Additional $10,000.00</p> <p>This position is responsible for the maintenance of Lanes, Unpaved Streets, and Shoulders within the city limits of Savannah by operation of assigned construction equipment. Assists supervisor and Crew Chief in unison with a crew in tasks and completion of assigned projects. </p> <p>We offer great pay, and excellent benefits to include medical, dental, and vision plans, life insurance, employee/spouse/child supplemental life insurance, short-term disability, tuition reimbursement, wellness programs, deferred compensation plan(457 B), pension plan, flexible spending account, employee referral program, home purchase assistance, and 12 paid holidays!</p> <p>Women, Minorities, and Veterans Are Encouraged to Apply!</p> <ul> <li>Operation of work-related equipment, flatbed trucks, tilt-bed trailers, dump trucks, backhoes, bobcat track loaders, and front-end loaders. </li><li>Maintains assigned equipment; completes minor repairs; washes and greases equipment. </li><li>Operates tandem dump truck. </li><li>Inspects equipment prior to use. </li><li>Transports equipment to job sites. </li><li>Ensures that work sites are compliant with safety guidelines. </li><li>Performs or assists with street construction and maintenance activities. </li><li>Maintains rights-of-way, streets, and sidewalks. </li><li>Maintains, inspects, and operates various hand and power tools and small equipment, such as weed trimmers, chainsaws, and mowers. </li><li>Sets up traffic control devices on work sites. </li><li>Loads construction debris onto trucks. </li><li>Moves dirt, gravel, rock, sand, and other heavy materials. </li><li>Performs general vegetative maintenance, including weed-eating </li><li>Removes debris, shovels soil, rock, mulch, leaves, and debris; loads materials on trucks. </li><li>Performs other related duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>High School Diploma or GED equivalent; with two (2) years of medium equipment operation and maintenance experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.</p> <p>Must possess and maintain a valid commercial driver's license with an acceptable driving history.</p> <p>Additional Requirements</p> <p>Background investigation, including supervised drug screen, post-offer/pre-employment medical screen; and verification of education, certifications, and licenses required prior to employment.</p>
